A progression, not a deadline.

Posters

Skills by age, on the wall.

What a young player can work on from six to fourteen, laid out in one place. Printed, so it lives on the garage door or the bedroom wall instead of in a group chat.

It shows ranges, not deadlines. Kids arrive at these skills on their own clocks, and the poster says so on the poster. It's a map of what comes next, not a scoreboard for where your kid should already be.

What's on it

Three stages, one wall

6 to 8

Fall in love with the ball. Dribble with both hands, pass and catch, run and stop without falling over. Games, not drills.

9 to 11

Footwork and the basics of a shot. Lay-ups off the right foot and the left. Playing defense with your feet. Still mostly games.

12 to 14

The habits start to compound. Shooting form, reading a defender, the boring reps nobody claps for. This is where Locked In begins.

Want the long version? The letters go deeper on all of this, and the book picks up where the poster leaves off.

The Letters

One letter, most Tuesdays.

For parents raising kids in youth sports. The car ride home, what it all costs, phones, and being present while the weeks last. Reply to any of them; I read every one.
